The Secrets of
"Conjoined Fetus Lady"

by Wild Willie Westwood, with sources from all over the Web

Name Changes! Name Changes!

K. C. is now Kevin C., a Chinese-American student. Carol Marsh is now Sharon Marsh.

How quickly they forget…

In Pink Eye, Cartman correctly noted that Pip is British, though he called him French in An Elephant Makes Loves To A Pig. Here, he again calls Pip French.

Kyle can be overbearing.

The poster on the wall in the nurse's office says, "Use condoms." Must be up there for the fifth and sixth graders.

Gollum - This word has a history, after all. It begins with golem, which in Jewish mythology is an artificially created human being given life by supernatural powers. In this respect, Adam was a golem. So was Frankenstein's monster. The word next appears as Gollum in The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings: the Fellowship of the Ring, where Gollum is a slimy little omnivore from whom Bilbo Baggins took the Ring of Power.

Limey - from limejuicer, a British sailor. On British ships lime juice used to be given as a treatment for scurvy. The sailors who took this treatment were called limejuicers, and then limeys.

Nurse McSchwartz returns as Nurse Gollum, but with a still-born fetus attached to the left side of her head.

Conjoined Twin Myslexia - Myslexia is not a real word, though a similar word, misolexia would mean "reading haters." The phrase would then mean "conjoined twins who hate reading." Dyslexia simply means "misreading, read wrongly"

The Siamese twins shown in the book are the Monkees Mickey Dolenz and Mike Nesmith.

There's a picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the newspaper that Gerald is reading. Usually, such a picture appears in Catholic newspapers. Gerald is an open-minded person.

Now for the counterpoint: The picture of the Sacred Heart is in the Personals section of the Classifieds, where the following headings are found:
"Gay & Lesbian"
"Priests & Kids"

just go out and sit in the middle of the road until a truck hits you instead? - This comment from Sharon to Sheila is a tragic irony, for this is how Sheila thought Ike (actually, a doll in Sylvester's mouth) had died, when in fact he hadn't.

Mrs. Crabtree can cow just about anyone.

Sometimes, the black kid in class is white. Just check out the kid in the #10 jersey, and you'll see…

There's a Canadian baby next to "STATE FINALS." Indeed, his parents ar there, too. All three of them were also at the 1997 Homecoming Game.

Some of the names on the Vietnam Memorial the bus crashes into belong to people who work on the show, like Eric Stough.

Cartoon Character Spoofs!

In the Denver team are representations of Bart Simpson (player 1) and Charlie Brown (player 6). On the other hand, they could represent Neil, Rik, and Vyvyan, the three main characters in the surreal British comedy show The Young Ones.

Kenny is wearing #69. Appropriate, no?

One parade participant, nine parade coordiantors. Bureaucracy lives!

My mom says there are a lot of black people in China - In Volcano, Cartman said, "My mom says there are a lot of black people in Africa." He's covered both extremes.

When Kevin turns around to face Stan and Kyle, Chef's shirt is gray.

A picture of Chairman Mao Zedong is still on the temple wall.

The Announcers' Lingo

  1. R's where there should be l's - this is peculiar to the Japanese, not the Chinese. The Chinese use either l or w to represent an r, while the Japanese use r to repersent l.
  2. Oh, I don't know, ar Americans look alike - a dose of our own medicine.
  3. Oooh, my. I haven't seen an American die like that since Abraham Lincoln! - remember Frank Hammond in Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride? Also, a Lincoln joke that works. See? Not all Americans look alike.
  4. That hurts good - a mockery of our use of some words to mean their oppsoites (bad = good, fat chance = slim chance, etc.).

The End

A Conjoined Twin Myslexia hat has been embroidered to the GO COWS! banner, and Kyle brought the IV unit home with him.

Maybe that dead fetus makes her smarter - kids can see through adult pretensions, so when they see an adult respond to those pretensions honestly, their respect for that adult goes up tremendously.
