Pip says the Wickershams are to fall down on "Turrah!" but they fall on "tally-ho." Ah, childhood logic. Pip is undoubtedly the happiest kid in South Park. Notice how he jumps and twirls at the chance to play something new.
Gerald had mandelbrot-like shapes on his pecs, not seen in "Spontaneous Combustion." Also, his forearms are now hairy. Randy has a heart over his coat pocket.
Blooper: when Pip realized he and his mates are Angels without a mission, you can see two right hands on him: one at his side, one on his chin.
Some boys think nothing of acting out female role models like Charlie's Angels, since the important thing to them is that the role models are crime fighters, not that they are female. Stan's sensitive because he's more knowledgeable about gender differences.
The second time the ATF lead agent looks through his scopes, he sees luminaries lining the walkway to Mackey's front door. Luminaries, or luminarias, are common in the Mexican religious feast of Las Posadas (Mary's search for an inn) during Advent. I don't figure luminaries to be a sign of religious cult actiivty, like the ATF agents did, though.
The painting, "The Scream," hangs over Mackey's bed.
Ze Mole lives on! Christophe is sitting alone on the guest chair on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Speaking of which, as Stan channel-surfs, he sees a cooking show (with Paul Prudhomme?), the Home Shopping Network, a nature show, Late Night, then a Beefcake commercial.
It's a unique television that has both a remote control and hand dials instead of a remote sensor. South Park is full of such TV's.
The origin of "breaking news" - Stations have breaks in programming so folks can catch up on unfinished tasks. There are commercial breaks and news breaks. A news break usually appears when some news is deemed important enough to interrupt a program. Breaking news, then, is news that forces a break due to its proximity to viewers or to its importance to the nation.
From behind, the antennae on Mackey's TV look straight, but from the front, they look twisted out of shape.
The song both the ATF and Mr. Mackey play is a garbled version of Cher's "Believe." After this song, instrumentals of both Cartman's "Wild Wild West" and Chef's "Stinky Britches" are heard.
Soem people consider Ricky Martin to be gay because until recently, if there were dancing females in his videos, he kept his distance. His moves around them were tentative.
The BATF, more commonly known as the ATF, was the government agency that raided the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, on February 28, 1993. The FBI took over negotiations and procedures that night and laid seige on the place until April 19, 1993, when the compound erupted in flames and over 70 members of the cult lost their lives. The other item is that the "religious cult" is to commit mass suicide when the meteor shower starts. This finds its mot recent echo in the Heaven's Gate mass suicide when Hailey's comet passed by in 1997.
When "The Negotiator" is brought in, its lettering is white. A few moments later, and its lettering is blood red. The sixth step on the ladder the ATF agent is on as he sets the Negotiator's aim is a broken step.
Who knew that the Ganz technique mentioned by the ATF commander was the commander's own?
An eight-year old mind is not quite a relatioal database. Butters gets the relationships in the Holy Family confused after a while.
Last time we saw Sharon, she was passed out on a table. When the crowd hears Randy blurt out what he and Gerald did in the hot tub, she is once again on the floor.
Odd. Pip launches the plunger above and directly in front of Barbrady, but the plunger lands on Barbrady's head from the left, not fron the front. The consequence is that Butters comes at Barbrady from the left, not from the front.
"Derek Smalls" - Derek Albion Smalls, member of Spinal Tap. Les Claypool, of Primus, and singer of South Park's theme song, has a tattoo of Derek's face on his left arm.
From the moment Randy finds Sharon seated at a table with a bowl of chips on her lap until Sharon faints, the scene is in mirror image. Then, Stan's jacket appears normal, then it and Butters' dress are their mirror images while Butters' hair is normal. When the boys reach Mackey's bedroom, everything is right again.
There must've been a reason why Stan was not allowed to stay with Cartman under Shelley's care.
The Broflovskis were at the party. Why weren't Kyle and Ike? We'll find out next week.
Where's the meteor shower scene in this episode?
A note on Dougie: Matt Stone must have done Dougie's voice for these reasons:
